Landlord Safety Inspection Report

We use HETAS Registered Installers and Chimney Sweeps so we offer a comprehensive pre-tenancy inspection report for Landlords. The inspection consists of the following:

  • Initial visual inspection of the installation to ensure it meets current regulations (The Building Regulations 2010 Approved Document J) and relevant standards
  • Visual inspection and examination of the appliance
  • Chimney sweep of the flue
  • Check Carbon Monoxide Detector is fitted (for further advise on Carbon Monoxide Detectors and how it effects Landlords please visit here 
  • Issue of Certificate of Chimney Sweeping and the HETAS Inspection Report* which will show results of the checks carried out on the appliance, any safety issues identified during the inspection and action or remedial work required to meet standards.  

*Please note that the inspection report is not a HETAS Certificate of Compliance.

Gas Safety Certificates

Landlords have certain responsibilities to their tenants.  Among which is to make sure that the Gas and stove appliances are serviced annually with a certificated issued. These must be swept on a regular basis to keep the appliances safe and in good
working order. We service the properties of most of the South Wales and surrounding area, so whether you own a Pub, Estate Agents, Letting agency or are a Property developer give us a call.

How To Book An Inspection Report

Once the details are sent over we at South Wales Chimney Sweeps will contact the customer directly, arrange a time suitable for your client, saving you time. Once complete, we will then email you with a full detailed job report, certificate for insurance, and also email an invoice payable within the 28 days or agreed.

As well as making sure that all gas appliances are serviced annually it is also the landlord’s responsibility to make sure that the flue ways are cleaned annually by a qualified chimney sweep. Discounts are given to so if you’re a building contractor or landlord to enquire about multiple sweep discounts.

We also install logburners and multifuel stoves increasing our knowledge of regulations and building standards.
